SPE030 - anyone used one?

Has anyone had any experience with the SPE030 speech synthesizer? I just want to know what it sounds like, I've done a google search but didn't come up with anything.

Winbond WTS701

The Winbond WTS701 appears to be the chip on the SPE030 that does the conversion. Looking that up turned up this site, selling a different board with the same chip. Down at the bottom of the page is a couple of wav files of how it sounds, probably with the default settings. Changing the pitch and speed will probably change that sound a bit.

Thanks robo, should have though of that myself. Think I'll go back to recording each phrase on my sound recorder board. Be cheaper that way anyway.
