I wish I had enough time to hack my graduation hat like this

I was looking a while back for people that had hacked their graduation cap. I didn't find any links as to how to do it, but one professor actually designed a circuit board to replace the cardboard with some ultra-bright LEDs.

angered his fellow professors something fierce, but everyone else loved it.
