So shortly after I "finished" the Mini Track robot, or rather I couldn't think of anything else to do to it... yet. :) I got to thinking it would be nice to make … Read more

1.27mm Headers in Eagle

Hi, I'm trying to make a breakout for a Wandboard. And I need to find an Eagle library that has 1.27mm pitch male headers. These are half the pitch of your typical 0.1" headers.

Does anyone know of a good library that has these headers?

Thanks

Yahmez' Y-Babies

UPDATE: 2/1/14

I'm about to send the first run of the ATtiny 84 version of the Y-Baby to OSHPark.  It is a lot larger than Yahmez' original design.  Coming in at 26mm in diameter.  This was necessary given it uses the LIR2032 and a SMD coin-cell holder.

A few design notes:

Small Form Atmega Fuse Doctor

I'm working on trying to make a SMD Fuse Doctor I can send to OSHPark.  I don't suppose someone with a good eye could double check my schematic, and if you are a grand soul, my PCB layout too?

I finally got in my Mega Mini Motor (M3) shield that I designed.  I was surprised, after populating the board: It actually worked.  The board came about after … Read more

PCB help (Eagle)

Hi all!

I have made a board for the pic16f690 with some servo connections and some other connections. I think the file is kind of self explanatory. I'm basically just wondering if any of you used to doing PCB's or working in Eagle have any warnings or advice on this board. i am trying to get a clean board and also trying to make it onesided. So all tips appreciated.

Thanks in advance

My First BatchPCB, er batch

So I finally got my first home designed PCBs back from BatchPCB.  As a bonus, I got double the parts I ordered.

My Q1114 sensor board (for line following/wheel encoders)  The mounting holes will need some rework.

Diptrace vs Eagle

So I've been fidling around with diptrace and have really enjoyed working with it. Drawing out your schematic is simple enough, and converting it to a layout is trivial as well. The one thing I've noticed though is lack of some simple components when using the layout mode.

Gathering experience with homemade PCB

Oi, yesterday and today I have been trying to make a homemade PCB using Eagle for designing the PCB and printing with a laser printer onto some glossy advertisement paper from junk mail. After several attempts I still haven't gotten a good transfer of toner to the PCB (check images) and I'm wondering if I should just design my PCBs and then send the design files off to Olimex for production
